Update as of 11:30 a.m.: Officers and security personnel have completed their sweep of the shopping center with the help of an explosives-detection canine. No bomb was found. Police are departing the scene but will increase patrols in the area today. News release to follow this afternoon.

Officers are on scene at the Stanford Shopping Center at 180 El Camino Real, which received a phoned-in bomb threat to the management office at about 10:15 a.m. Officers and security personnel are currently sweeping the mall with the help of an explosives-detection canine.
Out of an abundance of caution, please avoid the area while we investigate. Police are working in close collaboration with shopping center management personnel. No lockdowns or evacuations have been ordered at this time. Most of the stores have not yet opened for the day.
