In the early morning hours of March 16, 2023, Lakeport Police Department Officers, along with the assistance of the Lake County Probation Department, served a search warrant on the Lakeport residence of Paul Kenneth Jones, 57 years old of Lakeport, a person prohibited from the possession of firearms and ammunition. During the search of the residence 2 loaded handguns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition were found and seized. Jones was booked into the Lake County Jail with a $1,000 bail.
