A MESSAGE FROM THE SOUTH RIVER DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS

Water system improvements will be taking place in the following areas:

• Appleby Avenue & First Street
• Appleby Avenue & Draeger Place
• 5th Street & Colin Drive
• Morningside Avenue

Due to this, temporary water main shutdowns are planned between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM on the following dates (weather permitting):

• Monday, May 8th
• Tuesday, May 9th
• Wednesday, May 10th
• Thursday, May 11th

Residences in these areas will be without water service during these times and/or may experience discolored water.
 
Running your cold water for several minutes as well as flushing your toilets once or twice may clear up any discoloration in some cases. If experiencing discolored water, avoid doing laundry until the color returns to normal.
