The City of Cloverdale Parks Department, in collaboration with the Cloverdale Fire Protection District, is planning to conduct prescribed pile burns at Cloverdale River Park on Wednesday, May 10th.
Residents may notice some smoke in the general vicinity. Wood materials from the previous wildfires that accumulated in the park this past summer have been thinned and piled over the last several months. The pile burns will begin on the morning of the 10th and continue throughout the day. Fire crews will be on the scene to manage the burn.
The Cloverdale River Park trail will be closed to the public during these activities. Parks staff appreciate exercising caution during these vegetation management efforts.
