INCIDENT NARRATIVE:
On Tuesday May 16, 2023 Amsterdam Police detectives arrested Kobe J. Richmond on a felony arrest warrant signed by the Honorable Judge Lisa W. Lorman out of Amsterdam City Court. Kobe Richmond was processed on the charges of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd and Grand Larceny 4th. These charges stem from an incident that occurred in the City of Amsterdam on April 22, 2023, in which Kobe Richmond stole a firearm from a vehicle.
Kobe Richmond was arraigned before the Honorable Judge Lisa W. Lorman. Kobe Richmond was released on his own recognizance in accordance with New York State bail reform to appear in Amsterdam City Court at a later date.
Amsterdam Police Department is being assisted in this investigation by the Office of the Montgomery County District Attorney Lorraine Diamond.
While there was probable cause for this arrest, all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
