TRAFFIC ALERT: Beginning Monday, June 5, critical construction work will begin in the middle of the intersection at Palm Ave. and Harvard Blvd. Construction is expected to last 5 weeks with traffic control and turning restrictions in place 24 hours a day. This WILL cause a significant impact to traffic movement/access on Harvard Blvd. and Palm Ave. Businesses will remain open.
 
Provided on the attached graphic in green is a recommended detour route for residents to avoid the construction. While residents can travel in the orange highlighted areas on the map, expect significant traffic delays as turning movements and access to Palm Ave. from Harvard Blvd. will be restricted. Those coming from or trying to access SR-126 are strongly encouraged to use 10th St. or Peck Rd.
 
Restrictions include: Traffic in the north and southbound lanes of Palm Ave will only be able to make right turns at the intersection. Left turns or through vehicle movements to Main Street in the northbound direction or SR 126 freeway in the southbound direction will be restricted.  In the eastbound (toward 10th Street) and the westbound (toward Steckel Drive) directions vehicles will be merged into one lane in either direction and there will be no left turns allowed.  Right turns will be possible for both directions.  An extensive vehicle and pedestrian detour will be set up so drivers can access Main St. and the freeway.
 
Drivers are reminded to please use caution, slow down, observe the cones and obey traffic directions in the construction area as workers and vehicles will be in lanes of traffic that are normally open.

Please allow plenty of extra time to reach your destination, utilize detours/plan alternate routes, or avoid the area.
