Fairfield Police is now accepting applications for its very first Police Youth Academy! 

This is a free program for Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District (FSUSD) and Travis Unified youth, ages 11 to 16 who have an interest in learning more about Law Enforcement. This unique opportunity provides students with a greater understanding of the inner workings of a police department and police procedures, as taught by Law Enforcement professionals themselves. 

The purpose of the academy is to provide our youth with an opportunity to spend a week gaining insight into the jobs offered through the Fairfield Police Department, and to engage with their peers while honing their team building and communication skills, and through critical thinking exercises. 
 
Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants should have strong moral values, a commitment to learn, an interest in a career in law enforcement, and uphold the mission and core values of the Fairfield Police Department. 

Must be between the ages of 11 and 16 and attend school in Fairfield or Suisun. 

Both Applicant and Parent must review the entire application and apply with a full understanding of what is required and expected.

Candidate must submit an essay on why they want to attend the Youth Academy and what they hope to learn.
