SANTA ANA, CA –June 18, 2023
On Sunday, June 18, 2023, at 07:52 A.M., the Santa Ana Police Department received multiple calls regarding a traffic collision in the area of Dyer Road and Bradford Place. Callers reported a motorcycle collided with a utility box, and the motorcyclist was down in the roadway. The Santa Ana Police Department and Orange County Fire Authority responded to the scene. Officers located a male adult down within the eastbound lanes of Dyer Road, west of Bradford Place. Orange County Fire Authority pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
Based on the preliminary investigation, no other vehicle was involved in this collision. The involved motorcycle was travelling east on Dyer Road before colliding with a utility box on the south sidewalk of Dyer Road. It is unknown at this time if alcohol or drugs were a factor in this collision. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
