Subject: ICAC Search Warrant
Persons Arrested: Edward C. Domenech; DOB: 01/27/63 of Racine
5 counts of Child Pornography
On Thursday, June 22, 2023 at approximately 2:12pm the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, General Investigations, and the Department of Justice executed a knock and announce search warrant in the 3500 block of Spring St. The search warrant was the result of an ongoing ICAC investigation. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children had received 110 cyber tips connected to an IP address associated with an address within the 3500 block of Spring St. Contact was made with resident of the address at his place of employment while the search warrant was being executed on Spring St. Through interviews with the resident and his girlfriend (who was at the residence at the time of the warrant), it was learned that Edward Domenech also resided there. Domenech later arrived at the residence, was detained and interviewed. During the interview Domenech admitted to having child pornography on his computer and downloading child pornography on and off for the last 30 years. Domenech was arrested for 5 counts of Child Pornography and transported to the Racine County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
Racine Police investigators are interested in any additional information that anyone may have about this incident. Any witnesses, or citizens with information, are urged to call the Racine Police Department Investigations Unit at (262) 635-7756.
