Flood Warning until 10:00AM Thursday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of Southeast Kansas, including the following counties, Allen, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson.

* WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, city streets, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is a strong possibility overnight.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1247 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area overnight. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Chanute, Neodesha, Humboldt, Yates Center, Erie, St. Paul, Thayer, Altoona, Toronto, Buffalo, Galesburg, Savonburg, Elsmore, Benedict, Stark, Earlton, Coyville, Chanute Airport, Petrolia and Rose.

* AFFECTED AREAS: ALLEN, KS ... NEOSHO, KS ... WILSON, KS ... WOODSON, KS

Instructions:

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
