* WHAT...Flooding caused by overnight excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of Southeast Kansas, including the following counties, Allen, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson.
* WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Even though the threat for additional rainfall has ended, very heavy rainfall that fell overnight may continue to cause flooding of low-lying and flood prone areas, low water crossings, streets, country roads, creeks, and streams through this morning. Please continue to heed any road closures, and do not drive through flooded roads.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 653 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated overnight thunderstorms produced up to 8 inches of rainfall across the warned area. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Chanute, Neodesha, Humboldt, Yates Center, Erie, St. Paul, Thayer, Altoona, Toronto, Buffalo, Galesburg, Savonburg, Elsmore, Benedict, Stark, Earlton, Coyville, Chanute Airport, Petrolia and Rose.
* AFFECTED AREAS: ALLEN, KS ... NEOSHO, KS ... WILSON, KS ... WOODSON, KS
Instructions:
Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.
