Update as of 8:10 p.m.: the 700 block of East Charleston Road has now been re-opened.
Some traffic signals in the area may still be in "flashing red" mode but crews are working on restoring those to normal functionality.

Eastbound East Charleston Road is temporarily closed in the 700 block while officers investigate a solo vehicle collision into a pole which appears to have also caused a power outage in the area. Crews are actively working to restore power (the current estimated time of restoration is 1 p.m.).
Traffic signals in the area are out; please drive with caution and remember to treat “dark” intersections as four-way stops.
