Red Flag Warning Issued for Northern Solano County; No Evacuations Currently in Effect
Fairfield is receiving drift smoke from fires burning in Del Norte and Siskiyou counties.
At around 12:15 pm today, Fairfield Fire responded to the 2000 block of HillRidge for a 3rd alarm fire threatening neighborhoods. Fire quickly stopped the fire’s progress. At this time no evacuations are in effect.

The Fairfield Fire Department has issued a Red Flag Warning for Northern Solano County on August 29, 2023, at 11 p.m. until 8 p.m. August 30, due to gusty winds and low humidity.
Northerly winds of 15-25 mph with gusts to 30-35 mph and low humidity is expected overnight and throughout tomorrow, August 30. The combination of gusty winds and low humidity can cause fire to rapidly grow in size and intensity.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
Please note that Solano County is receiving drift smoke from fires burning in Del Norte and Siskiyou counties. No active fires are burning in Solano at this time.
