SLOW DOWN: BACK TO SCHOOL MEANS SHARING THE ROAD
School begins TODAY in Hollis (August 31, 2023). As such, the Hollis Police Department wishes to remind motorists that school days bring congestion.
School buses are picking up their passengers, kids on bikes are hurrying to get to school before the bell rings, harried parents are trying to drop their kids off before work. It's never more important for drivers to slow down and pay attention than when kids are present – especially before and after school.
Please slow down, pay attention, and be mindful that the Hollis Police Department will be working hard to proactively reinforce safe driving habits as we start the 2023/2024 school year.
