UPDATE (09/05/23):
Victim: Byron D. Beadles, 56 year old male of Racine
On September 1, 2023 at approximately 4:29pm officers responded to the 1700 block of Packard Ave. regarding a person who had been shot. The victim, a 56 year old male, was located in one of the apartments suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. No one is in custody at this time and investigators are asking for any potential witnesses to come forward.
Racine Police investigators are interested in any additional information that anyone may have about this incident. Any witnesses, or citizens with information, are urged to call the Racine Police Department Investigations Unit at (262) 635-7756.
