UPDATE (09/11/23):
Victim: Willie Henderson Jr. of Racine
Arrested: Tommy W. Johnson, 31 year old male of Racine
On September 8, 2023, with the help of the US Marshals Service, Tommy Johnson was taken into custody in Franklin, WI. He is being held on the following charges:
First Degree Intentional Homicide
Six Counts of First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety
Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
On Monday, September 4, 2023 at approximately 11:07pm, officers responded to the 3500 block of Victory Ave. regarding a shooting. Upon officers arrival they located a 58 year old male in a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The male was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The suspect fled on foot and has not been located.
Racine Police investigators are interested in any additional information, including any video, that anyone may have about this incident. Any witnesses, or citizens with information, are urged to call the Racine Police Department Investigations Unit at (262) 635-7756.
