Sheriff’s Office investigating Sheldon area shooting
At approximately 6:05 p.m. on September 11, 2023, deputies were called to a home on Bryant Lane, Oyotunji African Village, Sheldon, SC for a fight between two women.
Shortly thereafter, at 6:13 p.m. Beaufort County Communications Center received another call of “shots fired” from the same area.

Deputies went to the fire station and found the victim suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was transported to Beaufort Memorial Hospital and later to the Medical University of South Carolina where he remains in stable condition.
