Recently, our department has received numerous complaints from residents regarding prohibited vehicles parking on South River streets. We'd like to remind our residents that the following vehicles are prohibited from parking on Borough streets at all times (South River Borough Ordinance # 193-5.2).

• Commercial vehicles over 20 feet long, 7 feet wide, or 8 feet in height
• Commercial vehicles with a registered weight over 4 tons
• Vehicles with 3 or more axles
• Cabs, tractors, or trailers
• Commercial tow trucks
• Campers or recreational vehicles
• Unregistered vehicles or vehicles in disrepair

In order to educate and remind residents, officers will be issuing warnings to vehicles found to be in violation until October 22nd. Following that, vehicles in violation will be subject to receiving summonses.

Please note that exemptions exist for the following.

• Vehicles in the course of making deliveries to adjacent residences
   
• Vehicles used in conjunction with the rendering of services requested by an adjacent resident while said services are being rendered
   
• Vehicles used for maintenance or repair of public utilities or other construction within the public right-of-way while said is in progress
