34-year-old Vallejo Man Arrested for Lewd Behavior at David Weir School
While initial reports stated that this incident occurred in front of the school in the parking lot, additional follow up has determined that it occurred next to the parking lot but not on the actual school campus.
Original Release:
Today, at around 2:10 pm, concerned parents called the Fairfield Police Department reporting that a man was standing in front of David Weir School engaging in lewd behavior. The man’s pants were down, and he was touching himself inappropriately.
Less than a minute later, another parent called and reported that the man was now armed with a gun and was pointing it at her.
Officers arrived on scene within minutes and immediately began searching for the man. Fairfield Police worked with school officials to place the school in a lock-down status.
The man, 34-year-old Deandre Dickson of Vallejo, had fled the school’s campus, but was found a short distance away and taken into custody. The lock-down was lifted and classes resumed.
Dickson, who was in possession of a lighter that resembled a handgun at the time of his arrest, was positively identified as the culprit by the parents who called 911. He was subsequently booked into Solano County Jail for threatening others with a replica firearm and disturbance on school grounds.
