News Release: Police Arrest Man for Indecent Exposure Incidents
Police arrested a man on Sunday for exposing himself to two separate women.
On Sunday, October 1, 2023, at about 4:33 p.m., our 24-hour dispatch center received a call reporting an indecent exposure that had occurred around 2:30 p.m. on the bike path adjacent to the railroad tracks between Embarcadero Road and Encina Avenue. The victim, a woman in her twenties, reported that she had been walking when a man approached her from behind and grabbed her forearm, causing her to be startled and turn around. She saw that his pants were down and his penis was exposed. She yelled and fled, and later called the police to report what had occurred.
At about 6:54 p.m., our 24-hour dispatch center received a call reporting an indecent exposure that occurred inside Stanford Hospital at 300 Pasteur Drive. The victim, a hospital employee in her twenties, reported that a patient who had recently arrived at the hospital had exposed himself to her on two separate occasions while he was receiving medical treatment.
The investigation determined that the same suspect was responsible for exposing himself to both women. Police booked 33-year-old Ivan Antonio Gonzalez of South San Francisco at the Santa Clara County Main Jail for three misdemeanor counts of indecent exposure.
