On October 14, 2023, Racine Police Department investigators received information that homicide suspect, Cash’Juan Butler, was at an address in Kenosha.  Racine Police Department investigators responded to Kenosha and was assisted by Kenosha PD, Kenosha resources (SWAT and Negotiations) were activated.  Phone contact was made with Cash’Juan and he surrendered without incident.  Resources were activated due to the seriousness of the crime committed.  Cash’Juan was interviewed and arrested.

SUSPECT:  Cash’Juan R. Butler; 35 years old of Racine

On October 14, 2023, at approximately 1:10am, officers responded to the 1000 block of College Ave. for a report of a female who called in that a male party was deceased.  When officers arrived at the residence they located a 39 year old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  Officers learned that the female caller (a 34 year old from Racine) had gotten into a verbal altercation with her 39 year old boyfriend earlier in the evening.  Later on in the night, the 39 year old boyfriend showed up at the address on College Ave. where his girlfriend lives.  Immediately after she let him into the house he began to physically assault her while holding a firearm.  The female's roommate, identified as Cash'Juan Butler, attempted to intervene, but was pushed down the stairs and then returned with a firearm and shot the 39 year old boyfriend.  Currently the Racine Police Department is looking for the whereabouts of Mr. Cash'Juan Butler.  The investigation is ongoing.
