Traffic ALERT! Friday morning commuter traffic is anticipated to be impacted by the funeral procession for fallen APD Officer Jorge Pastore.
Starting at 8am, the procession route is expected to cross much of Austin, starting near MoPac and 2222. It will go north on MoPac, then take U.S. 183 to Interstate 35 south until it reaches downtown and the Texas State Capitol before heading to the Circuit of the Americas.
Bridges and crossings on the route usually have Fire Department & EMS apparatuses and personnel as well as onlookers and supporters along the route.
If you commute into or around Austin, please anticipate heavy delays and closures.
If you plan on being an onlooker along the route, please use caution while crossing streets or parking along roadways.
