Last night, November 23, 2023, at approximately 7:15 p.m. Beaufort County dispatch began receiving calls of gunfire and gunshot victims at the Independent Mobile Home Park, 60 Shanklin Road, Burton, SC.

When deputies arrived, they found two men injured from gunfire.   A 28-year-old Seabrook man is hospitalized at Beaufort Memorial Hospital while an 18-year-old Saint Helena man was transported to the Medical University of South Carolina and is in critical condition.

Deputies learned that the men were socializing between two mobile homes with others when an armed man approached the group and began firing shots.
