Drug Arrest Made in the Westfield Area

On 12-20-23, the Stokes County Sheriffs’ Office served a search warrant at the residence of 1034 Ed Booth Rd Westfield NC. During the search, detectives seized a quantity of methamphetamine along with non-prescribed medication. A loaded firearm was also located during the search. Larry Lee Palmer, who resides at this address, is currently on parole for Possession of Firearm by Felon. Palmer was arrested on scene and charged with the following:
1. Possession With Intent To Sell & Deliver Methamphetamine
2. Possession With Intent To Sell & Deliver Schedule IV Controlled Substance
3. Felony Maintaining A Drug Dwelling
4. Possession Of Firearm By Felon
5. Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia.
The Stokes County Special Investigations Division was assisted by the Mt. Airy Police Department Narcotics Division, the Surry County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division, the Pilot Mtn. Police Dept., the King Police Dept., and Homeland Security Task Force Officers.
I would like to thank our partners in law enforcement for their assistance. This particular individual was already out of prison and on parole for similar charges, but continued to break the law. He is currently in the Stokes County Jail under no bond, and will appear in Stokes County District Court on 1-17-23.
