PUD systems at peak load in multiple areas, especially in parts of PT and Ludlow.
Record low temps mean record power consumption. In some parts of Port Townsend and Port Ludlow, customer draw is leading to outages. Since temps are only going to keep dropping tonight, we are asking county residents to reduce power consumption where they can. Keep thermostats at the recommended 68, and avoid heating unnecessary spaces with inefficient resistance wall or space heaters.
