INCIDENT: TRAFFIC COLLISION

VICTIM: Adult male Hispanic (40 Years Old)
On Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at about 6:21 P.M. Pomona Police Officers responded to an injury hit-and-run traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the area of Temple Ave and Foley Way. Evidence at the scene suggests the pedestrian was attempting to cross Temple Ave when he was struck by a passing vehicle.
When Police arrived on the scene, they located a severely injured adult male down in the lanes of traffic. LA County Fire Department arrived on the scene to render treatment. The pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital. A short time later, the pedestrian succumb to his injuries. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene.
The identity of the pedestrian is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin. This collision is being investigated by the Pomona Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team.
