* Until 300 AM CST.
* At 1249 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.75 to 1.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Lake Charles, Sulphur, Orange, Westlake, Vinton, Iowa, Kinder, Elton, Fenton, Reeves, Moss Bluff, Lake Charles Regional Airport, Ragley, Lebleu Settlement, Gillis, Topsy, Buller, Holmwood, Buhler and Carlyss. Grounds are saturated with ongoing flash flooding. Additional rainfall entering the warned area will only worsen flash flooding across the warned area.
