A watermain break has occurred on MacDowell Rd.  Peterborough DPW is closing the road between Windy Row and Scott Winn Rd. to facilitate a safe repair.  Pedestrians and motorists should seek an alternate route, as crews are currently working to address the issue.
 
Customers in the area may be without water until the main is repaired.  The severity of a break determines how long repairs will take, but generally service is restored in under six hours.
