Job Opportunity: Police Dispatcher (Part-Time)

The position of Police Dispatcher is a non-sworn position under the direction of the Chief of Police that is responsible for, but not limited to, receiving and dispatching emergency and non-emergency police, fire and EMS calls for service by telephone, radio and/or computer, and providing information to the public.
- All training provided - no certifications needed to apply
- Starting pay: $20 per hour
- Must be a United States citizen
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or a GED equivalent
- Must have vision and hearing adequate to perform essential job functions
- Must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license in good standing
- Must be able to pass an extensive background check
- Work 12 hour shifts (days, nights, weekends, and holidays)
- Work and multitask in a fast paced, stressful environment
- Read, write, and comprehend the English language
- Effectively communicate
