Press Release Update: Police Investigate February Home Invasion and Sexual Assault Near Grammercy Circle 
On February 1, a release was issued regarding a suspected home invasion and sexual assault. The incident was reported to have occurred in a neighborhood on the east side of Fairfield, bordered by Grammercy Circle. The report stated the victim was in her home at around 6:30 pm when an unknown person forced his way inside. A description was also given of the man thought to be the culprit.
Fairfield PD has conducted an exhaustive investigation into the incident, and the results of that investigation strongly suggest the information initially provided to officers and detectives was incorrect.
All of the involved parties have been identified and interviewed and no arrests will be made at this time.
There is currently no known risk to public safety by any of those involved.
While additional details cannot be shared, the investigation is being forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
