FLOOD WATCH IN THE LANCASTER AREA IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON.
National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for the Lancaster area Friday evening through Sunday afternoon.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHEN...From Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, urban areas, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A strong storm system will move into the area late Friday through the weekend. Periods of heavy rain and thunderstorm are possible with rain rates up to 0.75 inches per hour. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
