In the early morning hours of March 20, Fairfield police found a man, now identified as 43-year-old Zebulon Ira Baldwin, deceased in the bushes on the north side of Travis Boulevard, near 1-80. The discovery was made following a call from a witness.
Detectives responded and immediately began investigating the circumstances of the man’s death, which has since been ruled a homicide. 39-year-old Erick John Fredericks has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
