City Operated Warming Station Extension: The City of Manchester Fire Department is prepared to support the Director of Housing Stability by providing staffing for a warming station at 39 Beech Street when capacity has been met at all known shelter partners and temperature/weather thresholds are met. As in past years, the Division of Emergency Management will monitor weather and maintain communications with relevant partners. Transportation to the warming station at 39 Beech Street will be provided for those with disabilities, access and functional needs.
 
Fatality Prevention: Manchester Fire Department’s Squad 1 has been reassigned to conduct Fatality Prevention Outreach starting today, to encourage unhoused individuals to seek emergency shelter and/or warming center accommodations. The Division of Emergency Management will continue to monitor the weather and its potential and actual impacts on the City and will adjust response actions accordingly.

The EC provides meals, showers, bathrooms, clothing, and mail services to adult men and women who are experiencing housing instability with sheltered or unsheltered homelessness.  The EC is a centralized HUB that coordinates the area homeless serving providers so that our guests move forward with housing navigation and case management, mental health support, substance use recovery, and income maximization.
