REMINDER: Special Event (4/13). Parking at Square Shopping Center (Map). May Cause Traffic Impacts. 
The City of Novato will be hosting a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Pioneer Park (1007 Simmons Ln.) THIS Saturday, April 13th from 11AM – 1PM, for Novato’s first inclusive playground.
EVENT PARKING: Parking will be available in the Square Shopping Center (2085 Novato Blvd.) and attendees can utilize the crosswalk at Novato Boulevard/Wilson Avenue to access the walking path at Reservoir Lane to enter the park. (See Attached Map) The parking lot on Simmons Ln. will be exclusively reserved for individuals requiring ADA accommodations.
TRAFFIC: The Novato Police Department will be working this event to reasonably accommodate any traffic related issues. We remind our community members of the potential impacts on traffic from the event in the Simmons Lane/Novato Blvd area. Please allow yourself extra time to travel through this area and to find parking, especially since rain is expected. Use alternative routes if necessary. We are encouraging attendees to carpool or find a rideshare to reduce the number of vehicles coming in and out of the area. Do not park in driveways, restricted parking areas, or in red zones.
An increase of pedestrians is expected throughout the morning. REMEMBER to drive safe, slow and keep an eye out, as families and small children cross roadways for the event. Stay safe & have fun Novato! The community’s patience and understanding is greatly appreciated!
