Due to sewer repairs taking place on Old Bridge Turnpike, the following will be in place 24 hours a day beginning Monday, April 22nd until repairs are completed in approximately two weeks.
Old Bridge Turnpike will be closed to northbound traffic. Posted detours will direct traffic as follows:
- Right onto Lexington Avenue
- Left onto James Street
- Left onto Johnson Place
- Right onto Old Bridge Turnpike
Commercial vehicles and trucks will be detoured to follow Racetrack Road to Route 18 northbound.
Traffic travelling southbound on Old Bridge Turnpike will be unaffected by detours however, delays should be expected in the area.
Motorists should use extra caution in the area, anticipate heavy traffic delays, and plan an alternate route, if possible. Additionally, added travel time on alternate routes should be anticipated.
