INCIDENT: FATAL HIT AND RUN TRAFFIC COLLISION

VICTIM: Hispanic Female Adult (Identification pending notification to family)
On Monday, April 22, 2024, at approximately 8:43 PM, Pomona Police Officers responded to the area of Towne Ave. and Monterey Ave. regarding a vehicle vs. pedestrian hit and run traffic collision. Responding officers arrived on scene and located the pedestrian laying in the roadway of Towne Ave suffering from severe injuries. First responders performed life saving measures and immediately transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries and passed away. The involved vehicle fled the scene of the collision and was not located by responding officers.
