Flood Warning until 07:30PM Monday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of Southeast Kansas, including the following counties, Allen, Elk, Greenwood, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson.

* WHEN...Until 730 PM CDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 920 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the warned area. Between 3 and 9 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Parsons, Chanute, Iola, Eureka, Neodesha, Fredonia, Humboldt, Yates Center, Erie, Madison, St. Paul, La Harpe, Gas, Moran, Thayer, Altoona, Longton, Toronto, Hamilton and Severy.

* AFFECTED AREAS: ALLEN, KS ... ELK, KS ... GREENWOOD, KS ... NEOSHO, KS ... WILSON, KS ... WOODSON, KS

Instructions:

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.
