* WHAT...Excessive runoff from Saturday night's very heavy rainfall continues to cause flooding problems with some roads still closed in the warned area.
* WHERE...A portion of Southeast Kansas, including the following counties, Allen, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson.
* WHEN...Until 730 PM CDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 640 PM CDT, Local law enforcement reported on-going flooding problems in the warned area. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Parsons, Chanute, Iola, Neodesha, Fredonia, Humboldt, Yates Center, Erie, St. Paul, La Harpe, Gas, Moran, Thayer, Altoona, Toronto, Buffalo, Neosho Falls, Galesburg, Savonburg and Elsmore.
* AFFECTED AREAS: ALLEN, KS ... NEOSHO, KS ... WILSON, KS ... WOODSON, KS
Instructions:
Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.
