* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Perry County in south central Illinois... Northern Jackson County in southern Illinois...

* Until 315 PM CDT.

* At 213 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Steeleville, or 10 miles southwest of Sparta, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include... Du Quoin, Pinckneyville, Elkville, Ava, Tamaroa, Willisville, Cutler, Dowell, Campbell Hill, Vergennes, and St. Johns.

* AFFECTED AREAS: JACKSON, IL ... PERRY, IL
