Drug arrest made in Walnut Cove 
On Monday April 29, 2024, Det. Pegram of the Special Investigations Division conducted a traffic stop on Ninth St. near Lakeside Dr in the city limits of Walnut Cove. During the stop K9 Zypher performed an exterior sniff of the vehicle alerting to the odor of narcotics. to include fentanyl, which was located inside the vehicle. Both occupants of the vehicle were arrested and processed into the Stokes County Jail.
