The Simi Valley Police Department is currently hosting the annual Rio Hondo Police Academy Class #216 Pride Run. This year’s event is dedicated to the memory of Simi Valley Police Officer Michael F. Clark, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty on August 4, 1995.
The Pride Run, which honors the commitment and service of police officers, features police recruits completing their academy training. These recruits will soon be serving in their respective communities, demonstrating their dedication to public safety. The following agencies have recruits participating in this year's run:

To ensure the safety of participants and the public, the Simi Valley Police Department has implemented temporary road closures. Some intersections are currently closed, with additional closures expected as the run progresses. Residents and motorists are advised to exercise caution and show patience as the run progresses through city streets.
