"Ride to Live": Motorcycle Rider Safety Course - Register Today!
The Pomona Police Department, in conjunction with the Office of Traffic Safety, will host a civilian motorcycle rider safety course called “Ride to Live.” Pomona Police Motorcycle Instructors will teach civilian riders how to safely ride a motorcycle during low-speed maneuvering. Instructors will also teach proper braking, turning, counter-steering, and obstacle/collision avoidance.
This OTS grant will pay for a series of free motorcycle safety courses that allow riders to practice braking, turning, steering, entering traffic and other skills that help avoid crashes and improve rider safety on the road.
The motorcycle training program will run through September 2024.
The next free course is scheduled for Saturday, July 20th, 2024, at Veterans Park from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. To register, email Pomona Police Department Motor Officers: [email protected] or [email protected]
Funding for this program is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
