* Flash Flood Warning for... The Beaucoup Creek in Perry County and the Little Muddy River in Northwestern Franklin County in south central Illinois... Southeastern Perry County in south central Illinois...

* Until 845 PM CDT Tuesday.

* At 234 PM CDT, Radar and rain gauges show a large are of 4 to 6 inches of rain in the headwaters of Beaucoup Creek in Perry County and the Little Muddy River on the Perry and Franklin County Border. Rainfall to this magnitude will likely be sufficient to cause significant rises on these streams Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
