* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Particularly on the Beaucoup Creek...the Little Muddy River and Rayse Creek.
* WHERE...A portion of southern Illinois, including the following counties, Franklin, Jefferson and Perry.
* WHEN...Until 100 AM CDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. River Gauges show the Rayse Creek in western Jefferson County is 3 feet above its record high stage and still slowly rising. Worsening of ongoing stream flooding will remain possible.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 658 PM CDT, gauge reports indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 5 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Pinckneyville, Rend Lake Area, Woodlawn, Tamaroa, Waltonville and Nason. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
