* WHAT...Flooding of small streams due to excessive rainfall.
* WHERE...A portion of southern Illinois, including the following counties, Franklin, Jefferson and Perry.
* WHEN...Until 700 AM CDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. It will take several hours for waters to recede.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 917 PM CDT, Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues on the Beaucoup Creek, Little Muddy River and Rayse Creek. Emergency management reported some road closures in the area and the Beaucoup and Little Muddy are still rising in central and southern Perry County - This includes the following streams and drainages... White Oak Creek, White Walnut Creek, Swanwick Creek, Novak Creek, Little Indian Creek, Collier Creek, Little Beaucoup Creek, Lost Branch, Turkey Trail Creek, Eaton Creek, Panther Creek, Back Branch, Puncheon Creek, Dry Creek, Reese Creek, Little Muddy River, Buck Creek, Big Muddy River, Hog Creek, Hurricane Creek, Rayse Creek, Beaucoup Creek, Knob Prairie Creek and Cane Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
