8/1/24 - Earlier this year in May, the Novato Police Department investigated the report of a man looking in window’s at a residence. The man was on the victim’s property and even peeped inside the victim’s window. Novato Patrol Officers conducted an initial investigation, speaking to witnesses and developing leads.

After subsequent investigation, NPD Officers learned the man had done this several times to the same victim. Over the next several weeks, Detectives gathered evidence and identified the suspect as Nicolas Reyes Jr., a 32-year-old resident of Napa.

Yesterday, NPD Detectives located Reyes Jr. and questioned him about the incidents. Following the interview, Reyes Jr. was booked into the Marin County Jail for Stalking and Prowling charges.

We would like to remind our community to stay vigilant and keep your doors/windows locked, especially during evening hours. Stay aware of your surroundings, leave outside lights on at night, and avoid walking alone. Install surveillance cameras at your residence if possible and report suspicious behavior to NPD while it is occurring, by calling 415-897-4361 for non-emergencies and 9-1-1 in an emergency.
