Here's what we've confirmed: The viral social media post was promptly reported to the school administration and the Fairfield Police Department. Following a comprehensive evaluation and investigation, the Fairfield Police Department and Suisun PD has unequivocally determined that the threat is not credible. Despite the social media post's circulation in Fairfield and other Bay Area communities, there's no credible connection to our local community or FSUSD schools.
We want to take this opportunity to remind our students of the importance of saying something to an adult if they see something. We encourage all our students to reach out to an adult if they have questions or concerns today and in the future. This is essential to keeping our community safe and informed.
Parents and students rather than reposting the viral social media post please report these concerns to the Stopit! App, the Police Department and school administration. Reporting information on social media continues to cause confusion and uncertainty.
While not a credible threat, we will have police and district personnel present at our schools. We want to ensure that our students and staff feel safe and supported. The safety and care of our students and staff is our top priority.
