Weather Advisory

Forecasters are predicting that our area could receive on average around 3-5 inches. This could cause some local flooding. It is expected to get worse in the early morning hours of Friday. Wind gust could get to 40 mph at times causing downed trees and power lines due to the already wet conditions. This could be an issue for many drivers during their morning commute. Patrol deputies will pass on any information about road closures to Emergency Management and Communications as they are discovered. Plan on leaving early when going to work Friday morning as detours may be required. We anticipate power crews to be very taxed and spread thin due to the widespread damage and flooding expected throughout Helene’s traveling path. Make any needed food and water preparations, charge your cells phones tonight, and check your flashlight.
