Gas has been shut off and area is no longer under hazardous conditions. Portion of Carlson Blvd. from Ohio Ave. to Pullman Ave. to remain closed for another 1-2 hours. This is the final update.

Temporary road closure on Carlson Blvd. from Ohio Ave. to Pullman Ave. due to significant gas leak as a result of a main break on the 2700 block of Florida Ave. Closure is for both ways. Avoid the area and/or use alternate routes.
PG&E is en route.
Richmond PD, Richmond Fire and Fire HazMat team are on scene doing air monitoring and assesing the need for possible emergency actions, i.e. evacuations.
We will provide an update when road reopens.
