The City of Galax is no longer under a boil water advisory! 
UPDATE ON WATER RESTORATION – OCTOBER 3, 2024
The City is no longer under a boil water notice. The second test of our water system samples were free of bacteriological impurities and the Virginia Department of Health has recognized that our water is now safe to use for any purpose without boiling. We greatly appreciate every Galax citizen’s efforts to conserve water as we went through this ordeal.
